Longshot Coffee announces a new market to their weekly farmers market schedule: the Sherman Oaks Community Farmers Market. This farmers market is every Saturday, rain or shine, from 8 AM to 1 PM and is sponsored by the Sherman Oaks Chamber of Commerce. There is a wide variety of produce vendors, artisanal foods and beverages, entertainment, and much more. We are excited to join in on the fun!

The Sherman Oaks Community Farmers Market is at Sepulveda Blvd. and Camarillo St., just North of the Sherman Oaks Galleria.

The 2011 Coachella Music Festival

On behalf of team Longshot, we are excited to announce our involvement with the 2011 Coachella Music Festival. This will be our very first time participating at the festival and we are looking forward to an amazing three day weekend, from April 15th to 17th. We will be serving Longshot exclusively in the VIP tent so if you have access to the tent, please stop by and say hi!

We will be running a special Coachella promotion for those who follow us on Facebook, Twitter, and/or our website. Please mention you are a Longshot Fan (on Facebook or Twitter) and get two Longshot drinks for the price of one! We will be serving a wide variety of beverages and nothing beats a Longshot coffee (iced, of course) to get you through a long day of music, fun and sun.

The 2011 Coachella music festival sold out faster than previous years and will feature an incredible lineup of bands such as Kings of Leon, Arcade Fire, the Strokes, Kanye West, the Black Keys and many more.

The Los Angeles Taste of the World

The Los Angeles Taste of the World: November 5th – 7th, 2010. Longshot Coffee will be participating in the 2010 Los Angeles Taste of the World Festival. This unique 3 day festival represents five continents over a 22 acre movie studio in downtown Los Angeles. Come celebrate “the food event of the year” with music, food, wine, and dance from Africa, Asia, Europe, Oceania and the Americas. Longshot Coffee will be representing our home country, Australia, with our delicious espresso based beverages. We will be the only coffee vendor so come by to get your caffeine fix during the festival!

In addition to the five continents of food, the festival will also feature a Green World Pavilion, Technology World Pavilion, World Travel Pavilion, Children’s World Pavilion and a Healthy World Pavilion.

Tickets are $10 for a day pass or $24 for a three day pass. The Taste of the World Festival will be located at the Los Angeles Center Studios at 1201 West 5th Street Los Angeles 90017.

A Farewell and a Thank You

On Thursday, October 28th, we said farewell to our friends at Yamashiro Garden Market. Longshot Coffee has had the pleasure in participating in the Garden Market since it’s opening day in March. In the last eight months, we have experienced the unique opportunity to be a part of a community within the Garden Market. We would like to give big thank you to Nick Spano and his team at LA City Farm for all their hard work and dedication. We are fortunate to have been a participant in what we consider to be one of very best local farmers markets in Los Angeles. We are looking forward to next year’s Yamashiro Garden Market reopening on March 3rd, 2011.

Longshot catering the Hollywood Ashes

On Sunday 9/26 it is the 3rd Annual Hollywood Ashes event! It will be a star-studded line up of celebrities and former international cricket players from Australia and Britain!

In addition to a great day of cricket, LONGSHOT mobile espresso bar will be serving up cool drinks AND Australian snacks! The team will be catering the VIP guests, running their famous espresso bar and serving a selection of food including pies (after the success of last year), pastries and mixed drinks.

We are offering a special promotion for those attending the event: Get a free flat white or Australian cappuccino with any purchase from the Longshot food stand!!

WC2010 Nike Soccer Events at the Montalbán

With the World Cup beginning in South Africa this week, we are pleased to announce that Longshot will be there for all the action. Well, at the Montalban Theatre in Hollywood that is!

Longshot has joined up with the Nike Montalban in Hollywood to participate in a series of 17 screening events of the World Cup. June 11th is our first event: Mexico vs. South Africa. Come by the theatre for a special viewing of the game, complimentary food & drinks (Longshot of course!) & exclusive product customization. More details to come! Calendar is listed below.

Our Mobile Espresso Bars will have their boots laced and shin pads in, shooting out the coffees at 7am and 11:30am games throughout the tournament.
